A platform for students, made with students.

We started and continued our journey making sure that we have an active collaboration with students.

GUIA’s founders both dads begun with their child in mind and the team proceeded to expand the student network to make sure that GUIA is a tool that students love to use.

From the beginning, GUIA was built with real feedback from real students. We didn’t guess what students wanted—we asked them. We listened. And we kept improving.

Our Student Advisory Board is made up of senior high school and college students who helped test early versions of GUIA. They shared what worked, what didn’t, and what they needed to feel more confident about college entrance exams. Their ideas shaped how GUIA looks, feels, and teaches.

At GUIA, students are not just users. They are creators, testers, and partners.

Their voices guide our choices—because who knows students better than students themselves?

Personally for me, my experience with GUIA has been great! I've been pleased with the mock tests and more specifically the reading/language proficiency part.

I also appreciate the fact that it points to the different sub-branches per subject that are my weaknesses, as well as the sub-parts/branches that are my strengths. It has made reviewing and revisiting those specific branches of math and science a whole lot easier! Most excited for the expansion of the test bank because I enjoy how digestible and educational the tests are given that we get to not only review our wrong answers, but learn exactly how to solve to get the correct one! :3

GUIA has been really helpful in tracking my progressions and weaknesses.

From the get-go, I learned that I had difficulty in statistics and probability, together with my reading and language proficiency, especially in Filipino. I learned the topic before each daily practice test. Additionally, I was able to apply everything I’ve learned in the post mock exam for that period.

From my latest mock exam, I improved in Mathematics by 6%, my language proficiency by 13%, and my reading comprehension by 4%(these are just estimates po, based on the data I’ve seen from GUIA). Even if these are just small improvements, I feel confident knowing that hard work does pay off. This fact is keeping me motivated for my current study plan in GUIA and my overall preparation for the UPCAT. I am really grateful to be able to have access to a program that does this because I believe that confidence is an important factor in exam preparation. This is a period of failure and mistakes for the majority of my batch, including myself, but GUIA definitely pushes me to keep on going.

Another point I’d like to add is that I am able to get some extra practice problems from GUIA, where I could apply the things I learned from my review center even after it already ended. This was really great for me because it’s hard to find online review materials that could explain the answer to me. I’m looking forward to using GUIA for my other CETs throughout the school year without re-enrolling to a review center.

Lastly, the GUIA team has been really active in listening to us, students, which I am really appreciative of. They are quick to respond to bugs and feedback in the discord server, the google form, and the weekly check-in sessions. With this, I am really excited to see GUIA develop even more. I believe that the current system and team is already wonderful, but can still grow with more support.
